Vilnius region is the most cutting-edge region in East-Central Europe, with a balanced business climate where trade, science and technology innovation, high-profile projects and new ideas come together. The fast-growing region is home to a cluster of government offices and headquarters of leading companies, business start-ups, public and private investment and international business.

With a population of over 820 000, the Vilnius region is the economic centre of Lithuania, a tourism and cultural mecca. In terms of GDP per capita and direct investment, the Vilnius Region is the leading region in Lithuania.

The Railway Logistics Park is located in a very favourable location near Vilnius. The trans-European rail transport network corridor IXB Klaipėda-Vilnius-Minsk-Kiev and the connection to the IXD rail corridor Kaliningrad-Vilnius ensure smooth connections to both domestic and foreign markets. The Rail Baltica project will further increase rail freight opportunities by connecting Warsaw, Kaunas, Vilnius, Panevėžys, Salaspils, Parnu, Muuga and Helsinki by sea.

The Railway Logistics Park is close to the national and international motorways E28, E85, E272, A1, A2, A3, A4 and A19. The planned southern bypass of Vilnius, which is designed to pass through the territory of the Railway Logistics Park, will not only improve connectivity to the city itself, but also open up a quicker route to the pan-European road network, avoiding urban sprawl and traffic congestion.
